Early reading is possible when you try to teach it. We found tools and tips, and are here to share ~
check out my "POSTS" for how we did it.
This is Kai reading aloud before the age of two. Not long after this, his reading really took off. Daily practice, reading books he enjoyed every day, and soon he was waking up in the mornings reading his own children's books, often various ones we got from the library, but also his at-home favorites like "Goodnight Moon," "Brown Bear, Brown Bear," and "Hop on Pop." By age three, he could read regular books, though still only ones he was interested in (like "Cool Math!").
Here is a compilation of some clips of Kai reading, starting before he could even speak (other than "mama" and "dada") before age one, through age one, and age two. I have a LOT more, so I'll put them out as compilations.
Disclaimer: I'm just a regular parent who was lucky enough to learn that babies can be taught immediately in life to help them achieve early speech, reading, counting, potty training, and more. I am not a licensed expert or professional—just a mom who cares, and wants to help other parents and children by sharing what worked for us. This is just what worked for us, and may not apply to all situations, since every child (and parent) is different, and nobody learns the same way, same speed, nor even has the same interests and experiences.
